This past week, our group completed the first major story arc of our campaign. It was awesome and a little sad, for several reasons. I knew this group and this story was about to change forever. I just didn’t know how until it was over.
In which Chatty realizes he’s been blogging at this here website for two whole years… and then indulges in good old fashion navel gazing for a few more hundred words.
A good D&D campaign should tell a story. But are you telling the story, or are the players? Is it both? Neither? Some combination of both and neither? After the jump, I muse about stuff that works in D&D and stuff that doesn’t. And I turn evil, if only for a few minutes.
We’re coming up on our 4th anniversary this week (expect our usual yearly wrap-up this Thursday), and this year, we thought we’d do something fun. At gaming conventions this year, we asked our interview subjects about their favorite critical hit story (from any game.) We got some great responses, and will be typing those up this week, but we’d like to open the floor to you!
