I played 30 games for the occasion of turning 30. Here they all are.
Another Origins has come and gone, and as always, there were plenty of games. Here are a few that stood out, both old and new.
Just over a year ago our group of friends was heavily into the deck building game Dominion. It was relatively new but had been out long enough to have three quick expansions and we really couldn’t get enough of it. Some days we would play game after game for hours on end. As should be expected, we eventually burned out from that pace. Thankfully, over the last two months I have noticed an extreme increase in the amount of board games that my friends and I have been playing and I want to share a few of the stand out games we’ve been enjoying.
In which Chatty miraculously fits his highlights of a spectacular convention in only one 1500 words post. A record some will say!
The newest expansion set for Magic: The Gathering is going to be released in a few days and for those of you who play the game I wanted to share some of the information and spoiler cards that WotC has released. While at GenCon this year I got to sit down and play a preview game of the new Magic the Gathering variation called Planechase that Wizards of the Coast is releasing September 4th. Like MtG except there is always one plane in play that drastically changes one or more aspects of the game.
I’m too tired to write a post tonight so I’m sharing a little Magic the Gathering goodness to those who would like to play for free (I think you need to have a Magic Online 2,5 account though). Magic Online players, We’re hoping that you, along with thousands of other MOL players across the globe […]
Yup… as predictable as a specialist role player’s choice of character, this trimester’s Magic the Gathering Pre-release tournament was upon us this weekend. I originally started writing this at 7h00 am this morning before going to the tournament, but my wife ran out of coffee. I therefore put on my husband Superhero suit and went […]
We’ve talked briefly about Eye of Judgement before, the Sony/Wizards of the Coast game that merges the CCG with the PS3. I haven’t played it, nor to my knowledge has anyone on the staff here, but reviews say it’s pretty fun. It still has a huge cost of entry, however. Well, maybe not so bad, […]
