Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is due out in June. This confirms rumors that Guitar Hero is releasing a few versions focusing around one band per game (though the initial rumor was U2.)
Are there really big enough Aerosmith fans who want to buy a whole game of their stuff? Why isn’t this just extra downloadable content for GH3? Does anyone really want to see a rendered Steven Tyler? Wouldn’t this be better for Rock Band?
Color me unimpressed.

Yeah, this is kind of, well, stupid. I like playing different tunes and genres, it keeps the game fresh.
Oh well, at least we SORT OF have a full-album DLC release now.

Honestly, it’d be acceptable if they were going for a decade or genre like they did with Rock the 80’s…but one band?…come on, GH…

“Guitar Hero Rocks the Last Quarter of 1991!”
Yeah, I agree. If they released a They Might Be Giants version I’d buy it, but probably no other band I’d want to play over and over again. And even They would be better suited to Rock Band (or Accordion Hero)

I’m a pretty big Aerosmith fan, so I can’t really say I am against this.
I would like it better for RB though.
But this matches with what I’ve been saying though - I think every song ever made should be released for RB (or GH if RB won’t do it). Why not start with Aerosmith?

I think in response to Dr.Scottos line of question…
Cause your face is stupid.
That is all, good day sir!

I kinda wonder though…
Is there a band that would be better suited to have their own GH aside from Aerosmith?…I could maybe see them compiling a game with Guitar Heros like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, etc…but I really don’t see any one band as something to pay $50 for…
Mind you, I picked up Rock the 80’s for $15…but still…
