YouTube of the Week: Racing Boxes, Tables, and Chairs Edition

Submitted by The Game on Tuesday, November 13, 20075 Comments

A stop-motion, live-action homage to the Mario Kart games. My favorite part is how they make the invincible star effect- you just gotta see it. Also a guest appearance by a 40k army!

I like the part when he goes OVER the counter rather then around, classic stop-motion! That lack of music for the last half of the race seemed odd to me.

I agree on both counts. I don’t know why the music cut out. Though it did make the invincibility music stand out more.

    I concur…

That self-loading SNES made me miss the large stack of cartridges I used to have in the corner of my room…

    :(

God it must have been agonizing filming the star scenes with all the wardrobe changes.

  • Reverend Mike said:

Yea, wardrobe changes are always agonizing with stop motion…

I did a scene in stop motion where an orange had relations with a banana once…the wardrobe changes were absolutely dreadful…
