Nic Cage is on Fire

The trailer to Ghost Rider is up. It’s a pretty risky property to tackle. The effects in the trailer look good, but can a good movie really come out of Constantine meets Torque? And can Nic Cage really play a 20-something motorcycle daredevil? Only time will tell.

Nicholas Cage is a bland shmuck. He can hardly play the toy of fate in a ridiculous comic book movie unless he is torn by his shmuckiness.

It might be interesting if he was in it and WASN’T the Ghostrider. Maybe have a headless horseman mystery kinda dealio, that might keep it suspenseful and interesting. It also means you would never hear him say “I am the ghostrider” unless he was mocking someone which is about as good as he can muster on that line.

But I don’t know shit about comics except they pretty much all have terrible writing but lots of artistic merit.

By the way, I ghost rode your mom last night.
